5. Sea Salt Caramel — 9/10

Sea Salt Caramel is delicious, but for the wrong reasons. Weirdly, it has incredible, precise flavor, but it doesn’t taste like salted caramel. It’s more of a creamy butterscotch than anything else. Just know that going in.

I’m not complaining, though. Between luscious ribbons of caramel, and its delectably sweet and buttery flavor, it comes together for an explosively delicious ice cream experience. For me, it’s a little too intensely sweet to crush in large quantities, but most people will undoubtedly go crazy for it.

Nutrition: 70 calories, 2g fat, 3g fiber, 6g sugar, 6g protein

 

6. Black Cherry — 8.5/10

Black Cherry makes me so happy.

It has wonderful finesse and strikes the perfect balance between tart, sweetness, and creaminess, and I absolutely love the chunks of real cherries mixed in. The black cherry flavor is accurate and au natural, which is such a nice and welcome contrast to all of the heavy, dessert-inspired, uber-sweet flavors.

If I was a cherry guy I would definitely rank BC higher.

I’d love it if Halo Top continued in this direction and worked in more semi-sweet, fruit-based and savory flavors over time.

  • I Must Have Power Absolute ™

    The cookies and cream one doesnt taste like anything, it just tastes like ice. I was pretty disappointed after hearing all the hype.(and paying the expensive price). And when I say ice, I mean flavorless. It had had even 20% of flavor I would have been happy. Tried multiple tubs to make sure I didnt get a “bad batch”. Good to see you also thought it was garbage and it wasnt just me. I’ll try one of the other ones.
